Our
company born in
1876 when Luigi
Rabezzana acquired
the vineyards and
the farmhouse that
he bequeathed for
four generations,
in San Desiderio
di Calliano d’Asti.

Today,
like in the past,
we carry on in respect
of the traditions,
with a careful consideration
to the production
of high quality
grapes, dedicating
maximum attention
then to the wine-making.
A hard work made
with big obstinacy
and passion which
took us, around
many years, to create
one of the most
significant Piedmontese
business realities.

The
vineyards
are
cultivated
in the
strongest
respect
of the
natural
environment
and
ecological
equilibrium,
excluding
all
the
destructive
interventions
like
chemical
weeding,
excessive
manurings
and
employment
of harmful
pesticides.
We have
achieved
the
quality
by means
of the
Italian
Association
for
Biological
Agriculture,
which
guarantees
the
management
with
the
biological
method
of the
vineyard
through
a lot
of controls.
The
spontaneous
presence
of grass
in the
rows,
guarantees
a better
equilibrium
of the
ground
and
the
use
of traditional
methods
such
as copper
sulfate
and
the
sulphur,
the
reduction
of the
surrender,
the
manual
vintage
with
the
selection
of grapes,
the
wine-making
in the
respect
of the
traditions
is the
better
guarantee
of quality
and
genuineness
that
we can
offer
to our
Customers.

We remove
the
stalk
from
grapes
and
submit
them
to wine-pressing.
The
fermentation
takes
place
with
soaking
of the
peels
to temperature
controlled,
in containers
of Inox
steel.
Frequent
reassemblies
are
executed,
for
about
three
week
period,
in order
to extract
colour
and
aromas
from
the
peels.
Therefore
the
wine-pressing
happens.

We remove
gently
the
stalk
from
grapes
and
let
in soaking
for
a short
period.
Grapes
are
subsequently
soft
pressed
and
the
obtained
Must
is clarified
through
decantation.
Our
white
wines
ferment
to temperature
controlled
in Inox
steel
basins
where
ripen
for
about
ten
months.
